Ouch!

March 26, 2012
This past weekend I had my wisdom tooth pulled so I've been down for the count and have put my Pete the Cat unit on the back burner :(

I hope to catch up over spring break....there's lots of things I can't wait to share! I hate the dentist...I've been traumatized since I was a child, so I'm really glad to be over and done with it, though I'm still in a lot of pain.

Anyhow, I hope your all having a great week {better than mine at least}, and don't forget my giveaway ends soon. One lucky winner will be announced tomorrow!!

GOOD LUCK :)

200 Followers!! Time for a Giveaway!!!

March 16, 2012
I JUST HIT 200 FOLLOWERS!! Yipee, I am SUPER EXCITED!! thank- you so much!!!!

I've been planning to give away this amazing sharpener when I hit 200.

But after checking out their website, I found this:

They will be back in stock hopefully, hopefully by mid- late April. I've had mine for two months now and I am in LOVE with it. I've spent a pretty penny on electric sharpeners over the course of my teaching career. I first came across this post by Christie from Teaching in Flip Flops and I was SOLD. It was everything I'd ever want in a sharpener!

Lots of other amazing bloggers have purchased one and blogged about it as well. So you can trust that it has been teacher tested & APPROVED :)

If you are okay with waiting about a month for it, I'd still like to offer it as a giveaway. If not I am offering your choice of a:

$20 gift certificate from Scrappin Doodles

OR a $20 gift certificate from Amazon.com

OR the amazing sharpener if you don't mind the wait :)

Here's all you need to do:
{PLS. don't forget to leave your email in your comment}

4 CHANCES to enter....giveaway ends on March 27th, winner will be announced on March 28th. GOOD LUCK :)

I've also posted my latest item to tpt and teacher's notebook:

HOP INTO SPRING Math Prompts: Common Core aligned

I love math journals! Here I've created 36 easy, average, and challenging math prompts for your students. Perfect for differentiated instruction!

I use math journals a lot in my class because its a fun and easy way to reinforce skills. My students enjoy the independent work and {surprisingly} have fun drawing pictures and writing words in order to show me how they solved their problem. Lots of higher order thinking here. I use these journals as a quick assessment in order to plan my lessons around which group may need more one on one time with me as well. There are 59 pages in all including directions, and some FUN bonus patterning activities. All for just $3.00.

Have a fantastic day & HAPPY FRIDAY everyone!!

I was contacted by MissTiina.com indicating that I was in violation of their terms of use. So just a reminder, be sure to always read TOU's very carefully. She was really sweet & understood it was an honest oversight on my part :)

A Day Late & A Dollar Short

March 13, 2012
Or shall I say a couple days late, and a couple bucks short? I feel like I literally BLINKED and February disappeared. We just wrapped up two weeks worth of testing a couple days ago only to have to start report card testing next week....does the madness ever end?!

I found this on pinterest and thought it was dead on describing me. I hate having no time to blog or blog stalk. Anyhow, the purpose of this post is not to ask you to pity me...lol, but to;

1. Ask you to please forgive me for posting my President's day activities as well as our Dr. Seuss activities a couple weeks late.

2. Ask you if you downloaded my FREE Dr. Seuss themed calendar cards, because I have to remove them after receiving an email from Scrappin' Doodles about copyright.

3. Finally, to send my deepest THANK- YOU'S to Joanne & Suzanne at Kinder Learning Garden for giving me this really AWESOME award.

Please stop by their blog if you have not done so already...there are lots of great things going on there. I will be back with a post passing the award to my Top 10 soon.

Without further ado {thanks for sticking with me this far}....here are just some of the Dr. Seuss things we worked on.

"Oh The Places You'll Go"

We also did these fabulous cakes from Teri @a cupcake for the teacher

We made these Lorax hats {I promise they are WAY cuter in person}

A Lovely Award

March 5, 2012
Forgive me for my lack of posting, the last two weeks have been nothing short of CRAZY. I caught the flu, my little one caught pink eye, and we are in the middle of mid- year assessments that have taken up almost 2 weeks and have made me INSANE. Endless amounts of testing, grading, graphing results, analyzing results....AGGG!!! I really dislike this time of year. Sometimes I question the need for putting our little ones through all of this.

Needless to say, I'm still wrapping up my American symbols unit, just beginning our Dr. Seuss study, and working on posting some new items to TpT and TN. I look forward to posting pics by the weekend...better late than never right?!

Anyhow, I wanted to send my special thanks to the following bloggers for giving me this lovely award, you don't know how much you made my day!!

Marsha from:

Angela from:

The Daily Alphabet
